Swedish Massage

50 minutes: $83

This extremely popular western modality of massage is a personal favorite of mine. This type of massage CAN include deep  work however, it usually focuses on the more palpable or superficial layers of muscle tissue using oils or lotions. I use a series of strokes such as effleurage, petrissage, and friction to work through the knots, manipulate the skin, and relax the superficial muscles. The benefits to this modality are increase blood circulation, decreased stress levels and increased relaxation, enhanced mental clarity, relief from the aches and pains from a hard day's work and greater flexibility in the skin. When you get off my massage table, you should feel lighter, happier, and ready to take on the world.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $100

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Myofascial/Deep Tissue Combo

60 minutes: $100
90 minutes: $160

Myo means muscle, fascia means connective tissue. Myofascial work focuses on manipulating and relaxing/strengthening the connective and muscle tissue on the body. This type of work, with specific massage strokes and tools, can realign muscle fibers, reduce pain, remove adhesions (stuck together muscle tissue; knots), and even lengthen muscles. This modality combination of work requires clear and often communication during the massage to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible and also that you are truly receiving all the benefits from that particular massage. This modality also uses a minuscule to non existent amount of lubrication to facilitate. My only requirement for facilitation is that if you have an minor injury, that you wait 3 days(72 hours, sub acute phase) before getting any body work done on that specific area. This is probably one of the most important steps because, during the 72 hour wait period, there is a reduction in inflammation to the injured area. Receiving body work, local to the injury site, immediately after, can or may exacerbate the issue.

Chair Massage

30 minutes: $43

Chair massage is MOBILE massage. This modality is perfect for anyone who is in need of body work at a moment's notice. The chairs are easily constructed and take up little to no room at all. This modality is great for a home or office setting, company break room, a small get together, and even outdoor events and festivals. There is no lotion or oil involved with this modality and it is even MORE convenient because this is all done over the clothes. The special chair used for this modality allows you to relax and be seated comfortably while I use my body weight and technique to sink into all of your aches and pains and soothe them away.

Thai Massage

60 minutes: $133

Thai massage or Thai-yoga massage is one of the most amazing and physically taxing massage modalities in my arsenal. This modality is physically engaging for both the client and therapist. During this massage, I will be using my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like positions. This is comprised of deep stretches and rigorous movements that not only expand and tonify the muscles in the body but also relieves pain, relieves stress, allows functionability at home/work, and creates an energetic and compassionate link between the client and therapist, which in turn, allows the facilitation of further healing. Clients are encouraged to consume plenty of water before and after each session to aid circulation and oxygenation of the blood to the muscles.Â
